Removal and Installation

NOTE: Select parts are available for repair of some individual tailgate step components.

Lower the tailgate and open the assist step.
Remove the 2 tailgate step inside bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Remove the 4 tailgate step upper bolts.
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft).

Remove the 2 tailgate step nab pin nuts.
- To install, tighten to 11 Nm (97 lb-in).

Remove the tailgate step.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
