Removal and Installation

  1. Lower the glove compartment completely.
  2. Disconnect the AM/FM antenna from the AM/FM antenna cable.
    • Push the antenna cable end and the grommet through the side cowl.

  3. NOTE: Do not over tighten the antenna mast or damage to the antenna base or mast may occur.

    Remove the AM/FM antenna mast.

    1. To install, tighten to 4.2 Nm (36 lb/in).
  4. NOTE: A new AM/FM antenna base cap must be installed.

    Using a suitable tool such as a hook-shaped pick, remove the AM/FM antenna base cap by prying upward.

  5. Remove the RH  front fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
  6. Remove the 3 screws and the AM/FM antenna base.
    1. To install, tighten to 2.5 Nm (23 lb/in).
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
