Removal and Installation

All vehicles
- Recover the refrigerant. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS

3.5L GTDI vehicles
- Remove the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe, RH ACL
pipe to-turbocharger pipe, RH turbocharger bypass hose and the RH turbocharger-to-Charge Air Cooler (CAC) pipe. For additional information, refer to Intake Air System Components - Exploded View, 3.5L Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDI) in INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION AND FILTERING

All vehicles
- Remove the A/C compressor discharge fitting nut and disconnect the fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal and gasket seal.
- To install, tighten to 15 Nm (133 lb-in).
- Remove the RH radiator air deflector upper pin-type retainer and position the air deflector aside.
- Disconnect the A/C pressure transducer electrical connector.
- Remove the condenser inlet fitting bolt and disconnect the fitting.
- Discard the O-ring seal and gasket seal.
- To install, tighten to 20 Nm (177 lb-in).
- Remove the compressor-to-condenser discharge line.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install new gasket seals and O-ring seals.
- Add the correct amount of clean PAG oil to the refrigerant system. For additional information, refer to the Refrigerant Oil Adding procedure in CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS .
- Evacuate, leak test and charge the refrigerant system. For additional information, refer to CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION AND DIAGNOSTICS .
