Removal and Installation

- Remove the thermostat housing. For additional information, refer to THERMOSTAT HOUSING - 3.5L GTDI .
- Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. For additional information, refer to COOLING FAN MOTOR AND SHROUD .
- Remove the coolant inlet pipe.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Install a new O-ring seal and lubricate it with clean engine coolant.
