Passenger Airbag: Installation

NOTE: Do not handle the passenger air bag module by grabbing the edges of the passenger air bag cover. Damage to the passenger air bag module may occur.

Partially install the passenger air bag module in the instrument panel.
Connect the 2 electrical connectors.
Position the passenger air bag module so that the tabs are oriented as shown.

Install the 3 passenger air bag module bolts.
- Tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb-in).
Repower the SRS . For additional information, refer to SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEPOWERING AND REPOWERING in the General Procedures portion of this article.
