If DTCs C200B:2F (Steering Shaft Torque Sensor 1: Signal Erratic) or C200B:62 (Steering Shaft Torque Sensor 1: Signal Compare Failure) set, steering assist is removed and the PSCM sends a message to the IPC to display POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT in the message center.
If DTC C200B:61 (Steering Shaft Torque Sensor 1: Signal Calculation Failure) the PSCM sends a message to the instrument panel cluster (IPC) to display POWER STEERING ASSIST FAULT in the message center.
If the concern that set these DTCs continues, DTC U3000:96 may also be set.
