Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the door check arm bolts.
    • To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
  2. NOTE: To minimize the possibility of cross threading, hand start all fasteners during the installation.
    NOTE: To avoid damaging the door, this step requires the help of an assistant.

    Mark the position of each hinge and remove the hinge-to-door bolts.

    • To install, tighten to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft).
  3. Disconnect the door electrical connector at the A-pillar.
  4. Remove the front door.
  5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
