Removal and Installation

- Raise the door window glass to the full-up position.
- Remove the door trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Position the water shield aside.
- Open the clip, and disconnect the exterior door handle actuating rod.
- For the driver door, disconnect the door lock cylinder actuating rod.
- Disconnect the door latch electrical connector.
- Disconnect the door latch release cable from the guide clip.
- Disconnect the manual door lock rod from the clip.
- Remove the 3 door latch bolts.
- To install, tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).
- Remove the door latch.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- After installation, carry out the DOOR HANDLE TO LATCH ROD ADJUSTMENT . For additional information, refer to DOOR HANDLE TO LATCH ROD ADJUSTMENT .
