Removal and Installation

- Remove the RH cowl side trim panel. For additional information, refer to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
- Disconnect the antenna.
- Disconnect the antenna-to-antenna lead-in cable electrical connector.
- Release the grommet.

NOTE: Do not over tighten the antenna mast or damage to the antenna base or mast may occur.
Remove the antenna mast.
- To install, tighten to 3.5 Nm (31 lb-in).
- Remove the RH cowl vent grille. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
- Using a suitable tool (such as a flat-bladed screwdriver), remove the antenna mast boot.
- Remove the 3 screws and the antenna base.
- To install, tighten the antenna base screws to 5.4 Nm (48 lb-in).
- Route the cable portion of the antenna through the hole where the grommet was located, and out of the vehicle through the cowl hole.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
