- If installing a new HVAC module, upload the HVAC module configuration to the scan tool. Refer to

Vehicles with electronic automatic temperature control or electronic manual temperature control remote mount
- Remove the instrument panel upper storage compartment. Refer to Storage Compartment-Upper in INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
Vehicles with electronic manual temperature control base
- Remove the instrument panel finish panel - center, lower. Refer to INSTRUMENT PANEL AND CONSOLE .
