Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor - Secondary Cooling System ECT2: Removal

  1. NOTE: Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position prior to working on the electronic engine controls or the vehicle may be damaged.

    Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

  2. Drain the powertrain secondary cooling system. For additional information refer to ENGINE COOLING - 6.7L DIESEL POWERTRAIN SECONDARY COOLING .
  3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT)2 electrical connector.
  4. Remove the ECT2 sensor.
