DTC U0101:00 (Lost Communication With TCM: No Sub Type Information) - sets in continuous memory in the Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) if data messages received from the Transmission Control Module (TCM) over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN) are missing for 5 seconds or longer with ignition in RUN and battery voltage in range.
This pinpoint test is intended to diagnose the following:
TCM (diesel engine)
PCM (gasoline engines)
TCCM
