Removal and Installation

When handling fuel, always observe fuel handling precautions and be prepared in the event of fuel spillage. Spilled fuel may be ignited by hot vehicle components or other ignition sources. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
- Release the fuel system pressure. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL .
- Disconnect the fuel tank selector valve electrical connector.

NOTE: Removing the fuel tank selector valve bolts prior to disconnecting the quick couplings, aids in the removal of the rigid fuel tubes from the valve.
Remove the 2 fuel tank selector valve bolts.
- To Install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).

NOTE: Some residual fuel may remain in the fuel tubes and fuel selector valve after releasing the fuel system pressure. Upon disconnecting or removing, carefully drain any residual fuel into a suitable container.
Disconnect the 3 fuel supply and 3 fuel return tube-to-fuel tank selector valve quick connect couplings. For additional information, refer to FUEL SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION - GASOLINE AND DIESEL .
- Remove the fuel tank selector valve.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
