Exhaust Downpipe - 6.7L Diesel: Removal

NOTE: Discard the exhaust upper downpipe clamp after removal. Install new during assembly.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
Remove the 2 bracket bolts and position the transmission fluid filler tubes aside.

Remove the crankcase vent oil separator. For additional information, refer to ENGINE EMISSION CONTROL .

NOTE: Note the position of the exhaust upper downpipe clamp for installation.

Loosen the exhaust upper downpipe clamp.
Remove the RH fender splash shield. For additional information, refer to FRONT END BODY PANELS .
Remove the exhaust upper downpipe bracket bolt.

Remove the 2 exhaust lower downpipe-to-catalyst and particulate filter assembly bolts.
- Remove the downpipe assembly and discard the exhaust upper downpipe clamp.

NOTE: Mark the exhaust upper and lower downpipes and Torca® clamp for orientation during installation.

If necessary, loosen the Torca® clamp and separate the exhaust upper and lower downpipes.
