Rear Disc Brake Shield: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the rear axle. For additional information, refer to REAR DRIVE AXLE/DIFFERENTIAL (8.8-INCH RING GEAR) or REAR DRIVE AXLE/DIFFERENTIAL (9.75-INCH RING GEAR) .
  2. Remove the parking brake shoes. For additional information, refer to PARKING BRAKE SYSTEM & ACTUATION .
  3. To install, tighten to 14 Nm (124 lb-in).
