Pinpoint Test BG: The CONTROLTRAC 4WD Gauge Is Inoperative

- BG1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE IPC SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded IPC DTCs from the self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to DTC CHARTS .
- No : GO to BG2.
- BG2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE PCM KOEO SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded PCM DTCs from the Key ON Engine OFF (KOEO) self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : For all 4WD related DTCs, REFER to FOUR WHEEL DRIVE (4WD) SYSTEMS . For all other DTCs, REFER to ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS . TEST the system for normal operation.
- No : GO to BG3.
- BG3 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DTCs FROM THE TCCM SELF-TEST
- Check for recorded PCM DTCs from the TCCM self-test.
- Are any DTCs recorded?
- Yes : REFER to FOUR WHEEL DRIVE (4WD) SYSTEMS .
- No : GO to BG4.
- BG4 CHECK THE DISPLAY MODE MENU SETTING
- In the gauge display mode, check the ControlTrac 4WD gauge.
- Does the ControlTrac 4WD gauge display?
- Yes : The ControlTrac 4WD gauge is operating correctly at this time. The display mode was not set to correct display mode.
- No : INSTALL a new IPC. REFER to INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) . TEST the system for normal operation.
