Removal and Installation

WARNING:
All safety belt components must be inspected and corrected as part of any collision repair. Inspect all safety belt components as prescribed by Safety Belt Inspection and Repair After a Collision
under GENERAL PROCEDURES
. Failure to follow this instruction may result in incorrect operation of the safety belt system and increase the risk of serious personal injury or death in a crash.
NOTE:
The LH rear safety belt buckle is attached to the rear center safety belt retractor anchor. For removal and installation procedures, refer to SAFETY BELT RETRACTOR - REAR, CENTER

Crew Cab
- Fold the rear seat cushion up.
- Remove the bolt and safety belt buckle.
- To install, tighten to 32 Nm (24 lb-ft).
SuperCab
- Remove the rear seat backrest. For additional information, refer to the appropriate steps in Seat - Rear, SuperCab in the Removal and Installation portion of SEAT SYSTEM - SEATS .
- Remove the nut and safety belt buckle assembly.
- To install, tighten to 80 Nm (59 lb-ft).
All vehicles

NOTE: Before installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- Check the active restraint system for correct operation. For additional information, refer to the appropriate FUNCTION TEST procedure under Component Test .
