Removal and Installation

Side step assembly
NOTE:
The pickup bed side step must be closed to complete this procedure.
- Remove the pickup bed side step bracket slide strap support bracket-to-side step bracket bolt.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the 4 pickup bed side step-to-frame bolts.
- Tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the locating nut.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the pickup bed side step assembly.
Side step body
- Remove the pickup bed side step body upper retainer bolts.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Loosen the pickup bed side step body lower nuts.
- To install, tighten to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft).
- Remove the pickup bed side step body.
All procedures
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE:
Pull outward to release the step body from the pickup bed side step bracket studs.
