Oil Cooler: Installation

Align the oil cooler to the oil filter adapter and install the oil cooler insert bolt.
- Tighten to 58 Nm (43 lb-ft).

Connect the oil cooler coolant hoses.
- Remove the hose clamp pliers.

NOTE: Do not lubricate the engine oil filter gasket.

Install a new engine oil filter.
- Tighten to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) and then rotate an additional 180 degrees.
If equipped, position the air deflector and fasten the 4 retainers. Install the skid plate cover.

Install the ACL outlet pipe and the LH ACL-to-turbocharger pipe. For additional information, refer to Intake Air System Components - Exploded View, 3.5L GTDI in INTAKE AIR DISTRIBUTION & FILTERING .
Inspect and adjust the coolant level in the degas bottle.
Inspect and adjust the engine oil level.
