Removal and Installation

Both splash shields 

  1. If equipped, remove the fender molding. For additional information, REFER to EXTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, REFER to WHEELS AND TIRES

    LH splash shield 

  3. Open the hood and remove the 5 wiring harness pushpins attached to the splash shield in the engine compartment.
  4. Remove the 3 splash shield pushpins and the 5 splash shield screws.
  5. Partially lower the splash shield and remove the 2 air box deflector pushpins from the engine side of the splash shield.

    RH splash shield 

  6. Open the hood and remove the 4 wiring harness pushpins attached to the splash shield in the engine compartment.
  7. Remove the 3 splash shield pushpins and the 5 splash shield screws.

    Both splash shields 

  8. Remove the splash shield.
  9. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
