Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the rear door trim panel. For additional information, REFER to INTERIOR TRIM AND ORNAMENTATION .
  2. Position the water shield aside.
  3. Disconnect the door ajar switch electrical connector.
  4. Disconnect the lower door latch actuating cable from the interior door handle.
  5. Remove the interior door handle actuating cable from the guide clips.
  6. Remove the 3 lower door latch bolts and the lower door latch.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
