Removal and Installation

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to SEAT - EXPLODED VIEW, FRONT, CENTER .

Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT, CENTER .
Remove the rear cupholder.
- Remove the 2 rear cupholder screws.
- If equipped, disconnect the power point electrical connector.
Remove the backrest latch cover.
Remove the RH side shield.
- Release the pin-type retainer.
Remove the 2 backrest latch upper bolts.
- Lower the backrest to avoid damaging the pivot side.
- To install, tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb-ft).
Remove the 2 backrest latch lower bolts and backrest latch.
- To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
