Removal and Installation

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to SEAT - EXPLODED VIEW, FRONT, CENTER  .
  1. Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT, CENTER  .
  2. Remove the rear cupholder.
    • Remove the 2 rear cupholder screws.
    • If equipped, disconnect the power point electrical connector.
  3. Remove the RH side shield.
    • Release the pin-type retainer.
  4. Remove the LH side shield.
    • Remove the 2 LH side shield screws.
    • Release the pin-type retainer.
  5. Remove the 2 cushion pivot bolts and cushion assembly.
    • To install, tighten to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft).
  6. Remove the 2 cushion release handle screws and cushion release handle.
    7. NOTE: Use care when separating the seat cushion cover from the hook-and-loop strip, or the hook-and-loop strip can be torn from the cushion foam pad.
  7. Release the J-clip, invert the cushion cover and remove.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
