Disassembly and Assembly

NOTE: For parts identification and location, refer to SEAT - EXPLODED VIEW, REAR, CREW CAB  .
  1. Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST - REAR, CREW CAB  .
  2. Remove the seat backrest cover. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST COVER - REAR, CREW CAB  .
  3. Remove the 2 bolts and backrest latch.
    • To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
  4. If equipped, remove the heated seat system components.
    • Disconnect and detach the backrest heater mat electrical connector.
    • For 60 percent backrest, remove the heated seat module and bracket.
      • Disconnect the 2 heated seat module electrical connectors.
      • Remove the 2 screws, heated seat module and bracket.
      • To install, tighten to 14 Nm (124 lb-in).
    • Release the pin-type retainers and remove the wire harness.
      • Note the wire harness routing for correct installation.
  5. Remove the hog rings and foam pad from the backrest frame.
  6. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.
