Brake Booster Vacuum Pump

Vehicles equipped with a 3.5L engine are also equipped with a brake booster vacuum pump. The vacuum pump is mounted to the radiator lower support just behind the LH headlamp assembly. The vacuum pump is controlled electronically by the ABS module and a relay. The ABS module utilizes the vacuum sensor in the brake booster to determine when to activate and deactivate the pump.
