Rear Disc Brake Shield: Removal

  1. Remove the rear axle. For additional information, REFER to REAR DRIVE AXLE/DIFFERENTIAL - FORD 8.8-INCH RING GEAR or REAR DRIVE AXLE/DIFFERENTIAL - FORD 9.75-INCH RING GEAR .
  2. Remove the parking brake shoes. For additional information, REFER to PARKING BRAKE AND ACTUATION .
  3. To install, tighten to 14 Nm (124 lb-in).
