Rear Brake Pads: Installation

NOTE: If installing new brake pads, make sure to install all new hardware and specified lubricant supplied with the brake pad kit. Refer to the brake pad instruction sheet when applying lubricant.

NOTE: Protect the caliper pistons and boots when pushing the caliper piston into the caliper piston bores or damage to components may occur.

NOTE: Do not allow grease, oil, brake fluid or other contaminants to contact the pad lining material or damage to components may occur. Do not install contaminated pads.

NOTE: Install all new hardware supplied with the pad kit.

- Tighten to 33 Nm (24 lb-ft).

Fill the master cylinder with clean specified brake fluid.
- Apply brakes several times to verify correct brake operation.
Install the wheel and tire. For additional information, REFER to WHEELS AND TIRES .
