NOTE: For vehicles with different front and rear tire pressures, the tire pressures must be adjusted and the tire pressure sensors must be trained following a tire rotation. Failure to train the sensors results in a false low tire pressure event, causing the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) indicator to illuminate. For vehicles with the same tire pressure for front and rear tires, training the sensors is not necessary after a tire rotation.

Failure of a TPMS component may not cause the message center to display a fault message or store a DTC. The Symptom Chart is a starting point to begin diagnosis of these concerns.
