Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The EPB actuators require an operating voltage between 9 and 16 volts. The EPB module receives this voltage from the BJB. When one of the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) listed below sets, the associated EPB actuator no longer responds to the EPB switch or other commands from the EPB module; the yellow parking brake warning indicator illuminates and the message center displays Park Brake Limited Function, Service Required. This is most likely due to an open fuse or an open voltage supply circuit.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| C2007:13 | Right Motor: Circuit Open | This DTC sets in continuous memory and on-demand if the voltage supply for the RH EPB motor is not present when parking brake actuation is not in progress. |
| C2008:13 | Left Motor: Circuit Open | This DTC sets in continuous memory and on-demand if the voltage supply for the LH EPB motor is not present when parking brake actuation is not in progress. |
