Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The EPB module receives ignition switch voltage from BCM fuse 22 (5A) along a hardwired circuit. The EPB module also receives an ignition switch status message from the BCM through the GWM. The EPB module uses the hardwired voltage input to validate the CAN message and it uses the CAN message to validate the hardwired voltage input circuit.

DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
U300A:62 Ignition Switch: Signal Compare Failure This DTC sets in continuous memory and on-demand if the hardwired ignition voltage and the ignition status CAN message are inconsistent to one another from longer than 5 seconds.
