Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The EPB module requires an operating voltage between 9 and 16 volts. The EPB module receives this voltage from the BJB. The EPB module has 2 ground circuits terminating at a single location. Excessive resistance or an open in one or more of these circuits, a discharged battery or a inoperative charging system results in the EPB module setting a DTC.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| U3003:16 | Battery Voltage: Circuit Voltage Below Threshold | This DTC sets in continuous memory if the voltage supplied to the EPB module falls below 6 volts at anytime, below 9 volts when requesting a parking brake apply or release and below 8 volts during a parking brake apply or release. |

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Make sure both battery terminals and cables are free of any corrosion and other contaminants.
- Make sure both battery terminals are tightened to their correct torque specifications.
- Make sure BJB fuses 57 (30A) and 58 (30A) are OK.
