| C1034:53 | Park Brake: Deactivated | This DTC is for informational purposes and indicates: the EPB module is in maintenance mode or the EPB module internal temperature is too high or the EPB module voltage supply is too low. EXIT (DEACTIVATE) maintenance mode. REFER to: Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Service Mode Activation and Deactivation . If the EPB module is not in maintenance mode, SET the ignition to OFF and ALLOW the EPB module to cool for at least 30 minutes. SET the ignition to ON. OPERATE the system and DETERMINE if the fault is still present. If the fault is still present, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all other EPB module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) before diagnosing C1034:53. If C1034:56 is the only DTC present, INSTALL a new EPB module. REFER to: Parking Brake Module . |
| C1034:78 | Park Brake: Alignment or Adjustment Incorrect | This DTC sets in continuous memory if current parking brake state (applied, released, in progress, etc.) is unknown or invalid. This can be caused by leaving a diagnostic session with an incoherent parking brake state, an unexpected power off during parking brake actuation, a weak battery, an invalid parking brake state set in memory or another system failure such as after a parking brake apply with an open motor circuit (does not release). SET the ignition to ON. CYCLE the parking brake through an apply and release state using the parking brake switch. CYCLE the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON. CARRY OUT the EPB module self-test. If the DTC returns or if the parking brake does not cycle, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all other EPB module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). |
| C2005:09 | Right Actuator: Component Failure | This DTC sets in continuous memory during a parking brake release function if there is high resistance in the connections between the EPB module and the parking brake actuator or a internal, mechanical failure of the parking brake actuator. INSPECT the parking brake actuator for correct installation, REINSTALL or INSTALL new as necessary. REFER to: Parking Brake Actuator Motor . If the parking brake actuator is installed correctly, SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT the EPB module electrical connector, the RH parking brake actuator electrical connector and related in-line connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary. If the connectors are OK, CYCLE the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON. APPLY and RELEASE the parking brake using the parking brake control switch. CARRY OUT the EPB module self-test. If the DTC does not return, the system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new parking brake actuator. REFER to: Parking Brake Actuator Motor . |
| C2005:71 | Right Actuator: Actuator Stuck | This DTC sets in continuous memory during a parking brake apply function if the mechanical force required to apply the parking brake is higher than normal due to an internal, mechanical failure of the parking brake actuator. RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all other EPB module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) before diagnosing C2005:71. If C2005:71 is the only DTC present in the EPB module, VERIFY the brake pads and brake caliper are not binding while APPLYING and RELEASING the parking brake using the parking brake control switch. CLEAN, REPAIR or INSTALL new as necessary. If the brake pads and brake caliper are not causing a binding condition, VERIFY parking brake actuator installation. REFER to: Parking Brake Actuator Motor . REINSTALL or INSTALL new as necessary. |

| C2006:09 | Left Actuator: Component Failure | This DTC sets in continuous memory during a parking brake release function if there is high resistance in the connections between the EPB module and the parking brake actuator or a internal, mechanical failure of the parking brake actuator. CYCLE the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON. APPLY and RELEASE the parking brake using the parking brake control switch. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the DTC and CARRY OUT the EPB module self-test. If the DTC is returns, INSPECT the brake pads and brake caliper for a binding condition. CLEAN, REPAIR or INSTALL new as necessary. If the brake pads and brake caliper are not binding, VERIFY the parking brake actuator installation. REINSTALL or INSTALL new as necessary. The fault is not currently present since the module is communicating with the diagnostic scan tool. CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the Network Test with the diagnostic scan tool. VERIFY the integrity of the connectors and wiring. Refer to Module Communications Network for schematic and connector information. |
| U0001:88 | High Speed CAN Communication Bus: Bus off | A HS-CAN fault was present at a point in time. The fault is not currently present since the module is communicating with the diagnostic scan tool. CLEAR the DTC. REPEAT the Network Test with the diagnostic scan tool. VERIFY the integrity of the connectors and wiring. Refer to Module Communications Network for schematic and connector information. |

Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all PCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). 2.7L EcoBoost REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS . 3.5L Duratec REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS . 3.5L EcoBoost REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS . 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT REFER to: ELECTRONIC ENGINE CONTROLS . DISCONNECT and INSPECT all PCM electrical connectors and related in-line connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary. |
| U0415:86 | Invalid Data Received From Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module: Signal Invalid | This DTC sets in continuous memory if the brake pressure message, wheel speed sensor messages or longitudinal acceleration message from the ABS module contains "faulted" or "invalid" instead of the actual information. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all ABS module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to: Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control . If the diagnostic scan tool cannot communicate with the ABS module, REFER to: Communications Network . If there are no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in the ABS module, the condition may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT the ABS module electrical connector and related in-line connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR as necessary. APPLY and RELEASE the parking brake, then CYCLE the ignition from ON to OFF and back to ON to clear the DTC. |
| U0422:86 | Invalid Data Received From Body Control Module: Signal Invalid | This DTC sets in continuous memory if the door status message from the BCM contains "faulted" or "invalid" instead of the actual information. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all BCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to: Body Control Module (BCM) . If the diagnostic scan tool cannot communicate with the BCM, REFER to: Communications Network . If there are no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) in the BCM, the condition may be caused by an intermittent concern. SET the ignition to OFF. Using a diagnostic scan tool, RETRIEVE and DIAGNOSE all IPC Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to: Instrumentation, Message Center and Warning Chimes . If the diagnostic scan tool cannot communicate with the IPC, REFER to: Communications Network . | U3000:49 | Control Module: Internal Electronic Failure | SET the ignition to OFF. DISCONNECT and INSPECT the EPB module connector, both parking brake actuator electrical connectors, the parking brake control switch electrical connector and all related in-line electrical connectors for corrosion, bent pins, pushed-out pins and spread terminals. REPAIR or INSTALL new as necessary. Refer to Connector Repair Procedures
for schematic and connector information. If the connectors are OK, SET the ignition to OFF, REMOVE the key from the vehicle, CLOSE all doors and WAIT at least 10 minutes. SET the ignition to ON. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). APPLY and RELEASE the parking brake using the parking brake control switch. CYCLE the ignition. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the EPB module self-test. RETRIEVE and RECORD all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). If the DTC returns INSTALL a new EPB module.
