Axle - F250 & F350: Installation

- Inspect the pivot bushing for wear or damage. Install a new bushing as necessary.
- Position the front axle into the pivot bracket, install the new pivot bolt and nut until snug.
- Install the radius arm. For additional information, refer to Radius Arm - F250 & F350 .
- Install the wheel spindle. For additional information, refer to Wheel Spindle - F250 & F350 .
- With the vehicle at curb height, tighten the new axle pivot nut to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft).
- Check and, if necessary, align the front end. For additional information, refer to SUSPENSION SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION .
NOTE:
Tighten the axle pivot nut with the suspension at curb height or damage to the bushing may occur.
