Disassembly and Assembly of Subassemblies: Differential: Disassembly

    NOTE: Take care not to damage the differential impulse ring.

  1. Special Tool(s)  : 204-069 (Remover/Installer, Front Wheel Hub) 

    General Equipment  : Bearing Separator

  2. Slightly heat the impulse ring and remove the impulse ring.

    Special Tool(s)  : 300-MASHG501AE (500-750 Degree Heat Gun) 

  3. Remove and discard the differential ring gear bolts. Lightly tap the ring gear to separate it from the differential case.
  4. Clean all parts in clean solvent and dry with compressed air.
