Disassembly and Assembly of Subassemblies: Differential: Assembly

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Inspect differential parts for damage or wear. Repair or replace as needed.
  2. Install the differential ring gear onto the differential case.
  3. Install the new differential ring gear bolts. Tighten the differential ring gear bolts in the sequence shown in illustration.

    Torque  : 85 Nm

    4. NOTE: Make sure the differential impulse ring is fully seated and flush on the differential.
  4. Slightly heat the differential impulse ring. Install it onto the differential assembly.

    Special Tool(s)  : 300-MASHG501AE (500-750 Degree Heat Gun) 

  5. Special Tool(s)  : 205-206 (Installer, Differential Bearing)  , 205-153 (Handle)
