  1. K1 READ AND RECORD ALL DTCS
    • Using the diagnostic scan tool, retrieve all Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    Are Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) U0140 and/or U0141 present? 

    1. Yes: GO to K2 
    2. No: The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
  2. K2 CHECK FOR CONTINUOUS MEMORY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (CMDTCS)
    • Using the diagnostic scan tool, retrieve all Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).

    Is DTC U3003:16 or U3003:17 present? 

    1. Yes: REFER to: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) AND STABILITY CONTROL .
    2. No: GO to K3 
  3. K3 CHECK THE COMMUNICATION NETWORK
    • Ignition ON.
    • Perform Network Test.

    Does the BCM pass the network test? 

    1. Yes: GO to K4 
    2. No: REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK .
  4. K4 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) U0140 AND/OR U0141 SET IN OTHER MODULES
    • Using the diagnostic scan tool, retrieve all Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).

    Are Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) U0140 and/or U0141 present in other modules? 

    1. Yes: INSTALL a new BCM.

      REFER to: BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) .

    2. No: The system is operating normally at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
