Pinpoint Test H: P0702, P1397, P0882, P0883, P0884

H1 READ AND RECORD ALL DTCS
- Using the diagnostic scan tool, run the self-test and retrieve the continuous memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from all modules.
- Check for DTC U0101 set in other modules.
Was DTC U0101 set in the ABS or IPC module(s)?
1. Yes: GO to H3
2. No: GO to H2
H2 CHECK FOR SYSTEM VOLTAGE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
Are System Voltage Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present?
1. Yes: For DTCs P0702 and P0882 and/or P0884 GO to H4
  For DTCs P0702 and P0883 and/or P0884
  
  REFER to: CHARGING SYSTEM - SYSTEM OPERATION AND COMPONENT DESCRIPTION .
  
  For DTC P1397, CLEAR the DTC and RERUN the self-test.
2. No: The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector.
H3 CHECK THE BJB (BATTERY JUNCTION BOX) FUSE
- Remove the BJB fuse 15 (25A).
- Check the BJB fuse 15 (25A)
Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?
1. Yes: REINSTALL the fuse. GO to H4
2. No: REPAIR the circuit. INSTALL a new fuse.

H4 CHECK THE TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) POWER INPUT CIRCUITS FOR LOW VOLTAGE

Ignition OFF.
Disconnect TCM C1750A.

Measure.

C1750A-2		ground

Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?

Yes: Go to H5 .
No: REPAIR the circuit.

H5 CHECK THE TCM (TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE) GROUND CIRCUITS FOR OPEN

Measure.

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

REFER to: CHARGING SYSTEM - SYSTEM OPERATION AND COMPONENT DESCRIPTION .
No: REPAIR the circuit.
