Brake Fluid Reservoir: Removal

NOTE: Do not spill brake fluid on painted or plastic surfaces or damage to the surface may occur. If brake fluid is spilled onto a painted or plastic surface, immediately wash the surface with water.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
    WARNING: Before beginning any service procedure in this section, refer to Safety Warnings in SERVICE INFORMATION General Information. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.
  1. Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions  ( HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS ).
  2. Refer to: Brake Master Cylinder  .

  4. NOTE: Install new brake fluid reservoir seals. Lubricate the seals with clean, specified brake fluid.

  5. Discard the specified component. Follow local disposal regulations.

    Material  : Motorcraft® DOT 4 LV High Performance Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid / PM-20 (WSS-M6C65-A2) (ISO 4925 Class 6)
