Dealer Test Mode

NOTE: Some of the displays listed in the table use xxx's to represent a numeric or alpha-numeric value. The value can display the same amount of characters represented by the xxx's, or there can be more/less depending on the type of display. For example: Speedo gauge xxx.x mph may display Speedo gauge 22.5 mph. Note that there were 4 x's in the display description but only 3 digits in the actual display.

NOTE: The table lists the displays as they appear when navigating using the down arrow button.

IPC Display	Description
Test	Initial entry display into the self-test mode.
Gauge Sweep	Carries out the gauge sweep of analog gauge(s), then displays the present gauge value(s).
Telltale and color test	Illuminates all the microprocessor controlled indicators and carries out a test of the color bands in the LCD display area.
LED test	Illuminates the display screen to test the color and pixel displays.
ECOmode Gear Shift/Anticipation/Speed/cold engine x.xx/x.xx/x.xx xxx	Displays the current values for optimum fuel economy.
Chime Test	Provides a single chime tone to test the chime sounder.
HW xxxx-xxxxxx- xxxxx	Provides the current hardware level of the IPC.
App xxxx-xxxxxx- xxxxx	Provides the NVM target ROM level.
NVM EEPROM xx.xx	Provides the NVM EEPROM level.
Manufacture xx/xx/xxxx	Displays hexadecimal coding of the final manufacturing test date.
DTC #xx xxxx (NO DTC if none are present)	Displays Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), in hexadecimal format, detected in continuous operation not during self-test.
Speedo gauge xxx.x mph xxx.x km/h	Displays the filtered English and metric speed value being input in tenths of mph or km/h to the IPC.
Tacho gauge Tacho xx Eng (rpm) xxxx	Displays the hexadecimal of the tachometer and the engine rpm value being input.
Odometer xxxxxx km Roll cnt xx	Displays the current input and the hexadecimal rolling count value for the odometer display.
Fuel % xx gauge xx A/D in xx	Displays the hexadecimal fuel level percent, the hexadecimal value for gauge indication and the analog to digital value.
Fuel flow xxxx	Displays the fuel used during operation as determined by the IPC.
Engine temp gauge xx Eng T xxx C	Displays the hexadecimal value of the temperature gauge input value and the temperature display in degrees Celsius.
Battery xx.x	Displays the current battery voltage as measured on the hot at all times (B+) voltage input.
Dist to empty xx km	Displays the DTE.
AFE xxx km	Displays the Average Fuel Economy (AFE).
RAFE xxx km	Displays the rolling Average Fuel Economy (AFE).
A/D Input xx xx	Displays the analog to digital inputs.
Port A xx	Displays the digital port inputs.
Test	Repeats the test display cycle.

To enter the IPC self-diagnostic mode, begin with the ignition in the OFF mode. Press and hold the LH steering wheel switch OK button. Place the ignition in the ON mode and hold the button until the display indicates Test or Gauge Sweep, usually within 3-5 seconds. Press the up or down arrow buttons to navigate through each of the display windows. To exit the IPC self-test mode, press and hold the OK button for 3-5 seconds or place the ignition in the OFF mode. Each button press advances the viewing window to the next set of items.
