Component Description

Video Camera

The rear video camera system is active with the ignition in RUN and the transaxle selector in REVERSE. The video camera receives commands and sends status over a dedicated LIN (Local Interconnect Network) to the IPM-B (Image Processing Module - B). The video camera is configured by the IPM-B (Image Processing Module - B) and does not require the PMI (Programmable Module Installation).

Video Display

REFER to Front Display Interface Module (FDIM) .

Image Processing Module B (IPM-B)

The IPM-B (Image Processing Module - B) serves as the gateway module between the video camera and modules on the MS-CAN (Medium Speed Controller Area Network). The video signal is hard-wired to the APIM (Accessory Protocol Interface Module) which is directly connected to the FDIM (Front Display Interface Module). The IPM-B (Image Processing Module - B) is configurable and requires the PMI (Programmable Module Installation).
