Gearshift Cable Adjustment - 6-Speed Manual Transmission - MMT6

Activation

1.

Apply the parking brake and position the gearshift lever in N.

2.

If equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost, remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .

3.

If equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost, remove the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .

4.

Release the lock tab on the selector cable.

5.

Move the selector lever back and forth to verify free motion.

6.

NOTE: By placing the shift lever into the 4th gear position, it locks the small lever into the N position.

Move the gear shift lever into the 4th gear position.

7.

Press the lock tab on the selector cable, setting the cable adjustment to the small lever.

8.

If equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost, install the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .

9.

If equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost, install the air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
