Fuel Tank Filler Pipe: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- 3.
Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- 4.NOTE: The supplemental refueling adapter is located in the luggage compartment.
Install the supplemental refueling adapter and a length of semi-rigid fuel drain tube into the Easy Fuel (capless) fuel tank filler pipe.
- 5.NOTE: If the fuel tank is completely full, this step will lower the fuel level to the fuel tank inlet.
Attach the Fuel Storage Tanker to the fuel drain tube and remove any residual fuel in the fuel tank filler pipe.

Remove the Right Rear (RR) wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- 10.
Disconnect the Evaporative Emission (EVAP) tube assembly-to-fuel tank filler pipe recirculation tube quick connect coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- 11.
Release the clamp and disconnect the fuel tank filler pipe from the fuel tank.Torque
: 35 lb.in (4 Nm)
- 13.
Remove the 2 fuel tank filler pipe bracket bolts and remove the fuel tank filler pipe from the vehicle.Torque
: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
