Intake Manifold: Removal

1.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. REFER to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2.

Disconnect the battery ground. REFER to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

3.

Remove the retainers and the underbody shield.

4.

Detach the wiring harness retainers and position the wiring harness aside.

5.

Remove the intake manifold mounting bolt.

6.

Detach the wiring harness retainer and position the wiring harness aside.

7.

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. REFER to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .

8.

Disconnect the throttle body electrical connector and detach the wire harness retainers.

9.

Disconnect the fuel evaporative tube quick release coupling. REFER to: Quick Release Coupling .

10.

Disconnect the vacuum tube quick release coupling at the rear of the intake manifold.

11.

NOTE: Position back the intake manifold to allow access to disconnect the crankcase ventilation oil separator tube from the intake manifold.
- Remove the bolts and the intake manifold.
- Disconnect the crankcase vent oil separator tube.
