Parking Aid Module (PAM)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Ford Focus. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The PAM calculates and reports the distance between the rear of the vehicle (and front of the vehicle, if equipped) and an object. The Parking Aid Module (PAM) is the controlling module for the active park assist system, providing the steering angle commands and driver input requests. The PAM is capable of setting and storing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for the parking aid and active park assist sensors, parking assist switch and active park assist switch circuits when a concern exists.
