SYMPTOM CHART

Condition Possible Sources Actions
A module does not respond to the scan tool
  • Fuse
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors

REFER to: COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
All dimmable illumination does not dim or increase brightness Dimmer switch (part of headlamp switch) VERIFY the operation of the headlamps. If the headlamps operate correctly, GO to PINPOINT TEST G . If the headlamps do not operate correctly,
REFER to: HEADLAMPS
The start/stop switch illumination is inoperative or always on - vehicles with Intelligent Access (IA) Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to PINPOINT TEST F 
The LH  front window control switch illumination is inoperative or always on - with door modules (with one-touch up window) Window control switch VERIFY the operation of the power windows. For the LH  front window control switch, if the power windows operate correctly, INSTALL a new window control switch.
REFER to: DRIVER DOOR WINDOW CONTROL SWITCH
The RH  front, RH  rear or LH  rear window control switch illumination is inoperative or always on - with door modules (with one-touch up window) Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to PINPOINT TEST E 
All dimmable non-networked illumination is inoperative Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to PINPOINT TEST A 
One or more dimmable non-networked illumination is inoperative Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to PINPOINT TEST D 
The steering wheel switch(es) illumination is inoperative Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to PINPOINT TEST C 
All dimmable non-networked illumination is always on (networked illumination functions correctly) Refer to Diagnostic Routine GO to PINPOINT TEST B 
The IPC  illumination is inoperative/does not dim IPC  If all other networked illumination sources operate correctly, INSTALL a new IPC  .
REFER to: INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) If all other networked illumination sources are inoperative or do not dim, GO to PINPOINT TEST G 
The FCIM  illumination is inoperative/does not dim FCIM  VERIFY all FCIM  controls function normally. If the FCIM  controls function normally, INSTALL a new FCIM  .
REFER to: FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE (FCIM)
If the FCIM  controls do not function normally,
REFER to: INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
The FDIM  illumination is inoperative/does not dim APIM  VERIFY the audio system can be operated normally from the FDIM  . If the audio system can be operated normally from the FDIM  , INSTALL a new APIM  .

If the audio system cannot be operated normally from the FDIM  ,
