Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Display
The IPC provides a powertrain malfunction (wrench) message center indicator to indicate transmission, high voltage battery and battery charger concerns. The IPC uses multiple messages to control the powertrain malfunction (wrench) message center indicator.
The IPC receives the transmission service required message from the BCM over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN). The BCM receives the transmission service required message from the GWM over the High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN). The GWM receives the transmission service required message from the TCM over the Electric Vehicle (EV) High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).
The IPC receives the battery service required message from the GWM over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN). The GWM receives the battery service required message from the BECM over the Electric Vehicle (EV) High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).
The IPC receives the battery charger service required message from the GWM over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN). The GWM receives the battery charger service required message from the SOBDM over the Electric Vehicle (EV) High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).
The IPC receives the powertrain warning indicator request message from the GWM over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN). The GWM receives the powertrain warning indicator request message from the PCM over the Electric Vehicle (EV) High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).
