Limited Battery Performance-Plug Vehicle In Displays

The IPC  provides the limited battery performance message center indicator and message center warning messages to inform the driver the high voltage battery performance is reduced due to a battery that is too cold or too warm. The message center indicator resembles a turtle and displays in 2 levels (amber or red) depending on the severity of the limited performance. Each level of limited performance displays a message center message for either a cold or warm battery in a popup message display.

The IPC  receives the battery electrical performance status from the GWM  over the Infotainment Controller Area Network (I-CAN). The GWM  receives the battery electrical performance status from the PCM  over the Electric Vehicle (EV) High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).

Under extreme hot or cold conditions, the IPC  displays a message center message to inform the driver to plug in the vehicle for better battery performance.

The IPC  uses ambient air temperature data sent from the GWM  over the Infotainment Controller Area Network (I-CAN). The GWM  receives the ambient air temperature data from the PCM  over the Electric Vehicle (EV) High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).
