Intelligent Access (IA) System Displays
The IPC provides Intelligent Access (IA) system message center displays to indicate the key is in the luggage compartment, the key is left in the vehicle, no key is detected, accessory power is active, to inform the driver a steering lock fault exists, to press the brake to start the vehicle or to place the key in the backup slot. The IPC uses multiple messages received from multiple modules to control the Intelligent Access (IA) system displays.
The IPC receives the data for the key inside the vehicle and the key not inside the vehicle message displays from the RFA module over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN). The IPC receives the data for the steering lock malfunction, no key detected, accessory power active, press brake to start and place the key in the backup slot message displays from the BCM over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN).
The IPC receives door status message sent from the BCM over the Medium Speed Controller Area Network (MS-CAN) to control the accessory power active message center message.
