Driving Range Limit-Reduce Climate Usage Displays
The IPC provides a driving range limit message center warning (get me home) message to inform the driver they may be traveling further from the home charge point than their remaining battery charge or DTE will allow for a return trip. The APIM continually calculates the distance to the primary charge point and compares this to the remaining DTE . The driving range limit message center warning only displays once per ignition cycle.
The IPC receives the return home message display input for the driving range limit (get me home) message from the APIM over the Infotainment Controller Area Network (I-CAN).
The IPC also provides a message center message to suggest the driver reduce the climate control usage to extend the driving range. The IPC uses DTE data, low battery charge warnings and climate control usage to determine whether there is a debt or surplus.
The IPC receives vehicle range display data and climate power usage data messages from the GWM over the Infotainment Controller Area Network (I-CAN). The GWM receives the vehicle range display data and climate power usage data messages from the PCM over the Electric Vehicle (EV) High Speed Controller Area Network (HS-CAN).
