System Operation: Startup-Shutdown

The IPC  provides a startup/shutdown sequence also known as a welcome/farewell strategy. When the BCM  receives a RKE request or a door ajar (open) message, the IPC  illuminates the RH  and LH  turn indicators briefly then displays the message center splash screen. When the ignition is in RUN or START, the message center proves out and defaults to normal operation. The IPC  illuminates all LED indicators for a predetermined time (prove-out).
